Sounds like a beautiful way of airing views but it doesn't always work that way, is my opinion.
Sometimes, we get in arguments with the other on the defensive. However, our takeaway shouldn't be a fight in that we shouldn't let it deteriorate to one. Instead, say what we need to and listen to the other person, so we both can grow after.

In those cases they can just think of it as catharsis and be better persons after and because of the argument, not worse people.
